How To Reduce The Rate At Which Your Blackberry Hangs

Have you been facing serious challenges with your blackberry smartphones of recent because of the excessive booting, hanging and loading?? 

Sometimes, you may even want to use your phone's camera and once you launch your camera, you'll be like oh no! because before your phone is ever going to respond again, you'll have to restart your device

Or maybe you want to make use of your internet browser and you start the browser and the next thing that pops up is that very frustrating little Blackberry's "Please Wait'' icon..

1. CLOSE UNUSED APPLICATIONS

This is very important as most times, people intend to open up to 10 applications at the same time and they always complain their phone hangs a lot while the phone is always struggling to manage the applications that are still opened (but minimized) with the allocated memory.

Remember, when you minimize an application, its still opened but you just want to open an application on it, so, imagine a scenario of you opening 20 applications at the same time, what do you expect!!

SOLUTION

Ensure that all unused applications are always closed..

Note: when you press the red button, it only minimizes, it does not close your app.

So, when you want to close your apps, always hold the BACK button or press menu, scroll to CLOSE and select. It also saves your battery.

2. TOO MANY BLACKBERRY CONTACTS

Too many blackberry contacts also plays a great role in affecting the rate at which your phone hangs..

Imagine a scenario where someone has up to 2,000 BBM contacts!! *SMH* Its kind of interesting when you tell people, but when you restart your phone, you see up to 500 broadcasts at once, this will eventually shorten the lifespan of your phone, your battery and booting will be the order of the day.. 

If you're not doing business with your device, i dont think its ideal.

The kind of phone you use matters alot relative to your number of contacts. For someone using a curve 1 or a curve 2, 1000 contacts is more than enough while for someone using a bold 6, its just a walk over. If you have more than enough, consider reducing them..

3. CLEAR YOUR BLACKBERRY LOGS

Do know that all the logs on your blackberry are being stored on your device?? To check out these logs, Hold the ALT button and press L G L G..

Clear these logs by pressing the menu button and selecting clear log..
